This page explains how to delete your Nasi: Recipe Saver account and the data linked to it. It works whether you use Nasi on iPhone or Android.
01Delete in the app
The fastest way. Your account is deleted straight away.
- Open Nasi and tap your profile picture (top right) to open Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
02Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, or can’t sign in:
- Email chetu699@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Nasi account”.
- Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Nasi. If you used Sign in with Apple with “Hide My Email”, tell us that and we’ll help you confirm the account is yours.
- We’ll confirm the request and delete your account and data within 30 days. You’ll get an email when it’s done.
03What gets deleted
- Your account: email address, name, sign-in method and account ID
- Every recipe you saved, including photos, ingredients, steps, notes, ratings and cooking history
- Your cookbooks and favorites
- Your onboarding answers
- The link between your account and your subscription record
Data stored only on your phone (meal plan, grocery list, profile photo and app preferences) is removed when you delete the account in the app, or when you uninstall Nasi.
04What we may keep
- Records we’re legally required to keep, such as purchase records needed for tax or accounting. These are kept only as long as the law requires.
- Server logs, which are deleted automatically on a short rolling schedule.
Deleted data is removed from our backups within 30 days.
05Subscriptions
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Nasi Pro subscription, because Apple and Google handle billing:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nasi → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nasi → Cancel
For more about how we handle your data, read our Privacy Policy.
